Tajweed is hard to fix from a recorded video alone. You need someone who hears your ح versus ه, your ع versus ء, and whether your ص is truly heavy. In a live one-to-one lesson the teacher stops you in the moment, shows the mouth position, and hears you try again.

What parents should expect week by week
Week 1 (trial): the teacher listens to your child (or you) read, notes the main habits to fix, and starts with the highest-impact corrections — often makharij and a small set of rules — rather than dumping the whole rulebook in one go.
Weeks 2–4: the same mistakes are revisited until they weaken. You should hear cleaner letters before you hear longer pages. Short home practice (a few lines, not a juz) helps.
Ongoing: rules are applied inside real Quran pages and short surahs. When reading is steady and Tajweed is reliable, Hifz can be discussed honestly — we do not push memorisation on a shaky foundation.
