Steady 3 ยฃ40

What affects the price of online Quran classes?

Prices vary a lot across the UK, so compare like with like. These are the main factors:

  1. One-to-one or group. Group classes often cost less per month, but each child gets less speaking time. One-to-one means the teacher hears and corrects every letter.
  2. Lesson length. Check whether a price is for 20, 30 or 60 minutes. A cheap plan with very short lessons may not be cheaper per minute.
  3. Lessons per week. More lessons cost more, but they help with memory, especially for Hifz.
  4. Live or recorded. Pre-recorded courses are cheap, but nobody corrects your child’s pronunciation. All QSO classes are live.
  5. Teacher qualifications. Ask what the teacher has studied. For example, our teacher Hafiz Azhar holds Hifz-ul-Quran, completed a 6-year Alim course and a 2-year Tajweed course, and has 7 years of teaching experience. See our teachers.
  6. What’s included. Progress reports, parent access and quality checks all add value.

What’s included in a QSO plan

  • Live one-to-one lessons of 30 minutes on Zoom or MS Teams
  • Your choice of course: Beginner Qaida, Tajweed, Hifz or Arabic
  • Female teachers on request
  • Parents can sit in on any lesson
  • Lessons are recorded only with a parent’s permission
  • Monthly written progress reports
  • Manager checks on lesson quality
  • UK-time slots after school and at weekends

Which plan is right for my child?

  • 2 lessons a week (ยฃ30): a gentle start for young beginners on Noorani Qaida, or busy families.
  • 3 lessons a week (ยฃ40): a steady pace for most school-age children learning Qaida or Tajweed.
  • 4 lessons a week (ยฃ50): faster progress, often chosen for Tajweed improvement or early Hifz.
  • 5 lessons a week (ยฃ60): daily structure, which suits Hifz students who need regular new lessons and revision.

If you’re unsure, start with the free trial. The teacher will assess your child and recommend a pace. Read what age kids should start Noorani Qaida if you have a young beginner.

Cost per lesson

Monthly prices are easier to compare when broken down. A month has roughly four weeks, so:

  • Starter: about 8 lessons a month for ยฃ30
  • Steady: about 12 lessons for ยฃ40
  • Plus: about 16 lessons for ยฃ50
  • Intensive: about 20 lessons for ยฃ60

The exact number depends on how many lesson days fall in the month. Your teacher will confirm your timetable. The more lessons a week you choose, the lower the cost of each lesson.

Is there a family discount?

Yes. A 10% family discount may apply when more than one child or family member enrols. Ask about it when you register after the trial.

Online classes vs a local madrassah: the real cost

A local madrassah or mosque class may charge a lower fee, and it gives children community. It’s a good option for many families. When comparing, include the hidden costs too: travel, waiting time and fitting classes around work and school runs. Online one-to-one lessons happen at home, at a fixed time you choose.
