Online Quran Classes for Kids: Live 1-to-1 for UK & USA Families
Raising children who love the Quran is something most Muslim parents care about deeply. It is also hard work when the week is already full: school, homework, dinner, bedtime, and everything in between.
Quran Specialist Online was built for that kind of week. We teach live one-to-one Quran classes for kids, from about age 4 upward, for families in the UK and the USA. Lessons run on Zoom or MS Teams. Parents are welcome to sit in. Female teachers are available on request.

Why one-to-one suits children
Children often learn quickly when someone is listening only to them. In a group class, a shy child can wait a long time for a turn. At home, on a live video lesson, the teacher hears every letter, corrects gently, and moves at your child’s pace.
That matters for a four-year-old starting Noorani Qaida, a child who can read but still makes the same Tajweed mistakes, a child ready to begin Hifz, or siblings at different levels. Each child has their own lesson. Nobody is waiting. Nobody is racing ahead.
Who these kids’ classes are for
- Young beginners (about age 4+) — short, patient Qaida lessons that match a young attention span
- School-age readers — Tajweed and fluent reading after Qaida
- Children working toward Hifz — once reading is steady (often from about age 7, with a readiness check in the trial)
- Daughters and younger children whose parents prefer a female Quran tutor
- Parents who want to sit in — especially in the first weeks, so you can see how your child is supported

Course outline — what your child can learn
Our kids’ path is practical and step by step:
- Reading with Tajweed
- Basic rules of Tajweed
- Six fundamentals of Iman (faith)
- Performing wudu (ablution)
- Offering Salah five times a day
- Six kalimas of Islam
- Adhan (call to prayer)
- Memorisation of daily sunnah duas
- Memorisation of 10 surahs
- Basic Islamic manners and etiquette
Most children begin with Noorani Qaida (USA: Noorani Qaida online USA), then move to Tajweed and, when ready, Hifz or the USA kids Hifz programme. The teacher adapts the pace. We do not race a child through a book for the sake of finishing.
From Qaida to Hifz: the kids’ pathway
- Noorani Qaida — letters, joining and basic rules.
- Quran with Tajweed — fluent, correct reading.
- Hifz — memorisation in three levels: Level 1 Juz 30–21, Level 2 Juz 20–11, Level 3 Juz 10–1.
What a typical week looks like
Every family is different, but here is a calm pattern that works for many households:
Week 1 (trial): the teacher listens to your child, checks their level, and starts where they actually are — not where a cousin finished last year. You sit in if you wish. You learn whether the time of day works after school.
Weeks 2–4: short lessons, the same days each week if you can manage it. Your child practises a little between lessons — two happy minutes beat a forced twenty. You hear clearer letters before you hear longer pages.
Ongoing: Qaida becomes joining and short words; Tajweed becomes cleaner surahs; Hifz, if started, balances new lesson with revision.
Lessons are about 30 minutes, which suits most school-age children after a long day.
Lesson times for UK and USA families
UK: after-school, evening and weekend slots in UK time, adjusted for GMT and BST.
USA: after-school, evening and weekend slots across Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones.
For local timing notes see city pages such as London and New York, or the UK and USA hubs.
How online classes work
- Book the 7-day free trial and share your child’s age, level and preferred times.
- We match a teacher — ask for a female teacher if you prefer.
- Your child joins on Zoom or MS Teams from a laptop, tablet or phone.
- The lesson is live and one-to-one. It is never a recording.
- You may sit in. See also our safeguarding page.
- If the week feels right, choose a monthly plan. If not, you stop with nothing owed for the trial.
How we track your child’s progress
- Each lesson the teacher notes what was covered and what to practise.
- A new sabaq is only given when the previous work is recited correctly.
- Parents may sit in on every lesson, so you hear exactly what was covered.
- Regular manager checks review lessons and progress.
- Lessons are recorded only with a parent’s permission.
What you need at home
- A laptop, tablet or phone with Zoom or MS Teams (both free)
- A steady internet connection
- A quiet corner away from the TV, if you can manage it
- The Qaida or mushaf your teacher is using (or the pages they share on screen)
Headphones help in a busy house, but they are not essential.
