Online Quran Classes in New Jersey for Busy Families with Several Kids

If you have three kids, you probably have three different schedules. One has practice, one has tutoring, and the youngest needs picking up from a friend’s house. Adding a drive to Quran class on top of that can feel impossible.

And even when you make it, each child is at a different level. Your oldest might be ready for Tajweed while your youngest is still learning the letters. In a group class, someone is always waiting, and someone is always lost.

Online lessons solve both problems. Nobody has to drive anywhere, and each child gets a teacher who’s focused only on them.

Every child at their own level

At Quran Specialist Online, every class is live and one-on-one with a qualified teacher, on Zoom or MS Teams. Each lesson is about 30 minutes.

That means your 5-year-old can work through the Arabic letters while your 12-year-old works on their recitation. Neither one is held back, and neither one is rushed.

A family discount that adds up

When more than one person in your family learns with us, you can save up to 20% with our family discount. Parents can learn too, if you’d like to brush up on your own reading.

Planning the week

New Jersey is in the Eastern Time zone. We schedule after-school, evening and weekend classes for Eastern Time families, and you choose the slots that fit your household.

If you’d like your kids’ classes on the same evenings, so the whole house has “Quran time” together, tell us when you book and we’ll do our best to arrange it.

Daylight saving time starts on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November. It’s worth confirming class times with us on WhatsApp around those dates.

Daughters and sisters

If you’d like your daughters taught by a woman, just ask. Female Quran tutors for kids are available, and sisters can learn with a female teacher as well.

You can watch any lesson

Parents are welcome to sit in. With several kids learning, it’s a simple way to keep track of who’s practicing and who needs a nudge. Our safeguarding page explains how we keep classes safe.

A sample family week

Here’s one example of how a family with three kids might set things up. Every household is different, so treat it as a starting point:

  • Oldest (age 12), working on Tajweed: Plus plan, 4 classes a week, on weekday evenings after homework.
  • Middle child (age 8), finishing the Qaida: Steady plan, 3 classes a week, straight after school.
  • Youngest (age 5), just starting: Starter plan, 2 short classes a week, early in the evening before bedtime.

Each child gets the attention they need, and you’re not driving anyone anywhere.

Keeping several kids motivated

With more than one child learning, a little friendly structure goes a long way:

  • Celebrate each child’s progress separately. A 5-year-old learning a new letter deserves the same praise as a 12-year-old mastering a Tajweed rule.
  • Avoid comparisons. Each child is on their own level, and that’s the point of one-on-one classes.
  • Let older siblings help. Asking an older child to listen to a younger one read can build confidence in both.
  • Keep a simple chart on the fridge. Kids love seeing their progress add up.

How the free trial works for a family

During your 7-day free trial, each child meets their teacher and has their level checked. The teacher suggests where each one should start, whether that’s the first letters of the Noorani Qaida, Tajweed, or Hifz for a steady reader.

By the end of the week, you’ll have a good idea of how the routine fits your household: which evenings work, how many classes each child needs, and whether a female teacher suits your daughters. Then you choose a plan for each child. There’s no payment and no credit card during the trial.

What you need

  • A laptop, tablet or phone with Zoom or MS Teams (both free).
  • A reliable internet connection.
  • A quiet place to sit for about 30 minutes.

With several kids, a charger near the table and a set place for each child’s books saves a scramble before class.
